Aquapac 148 Mini Waterproof Transmitter Case
This 148 Mini Radio Mic Waterproof Case from Aquapac is a waterproof case for wireless mic transmitters or receivers that require a thin wired connection to an external device, such as a lavalier microphone.
Features
- Use your equipment normally in the case as sound and signal pass right through the material. Even the touchscreen works.
- The airtight seal means your equipment will float safely if you drop it in water.
- Compatible with Wisycom MTP61, Sound Devices A20-Mini, Lectrosonics SMWB, SMDWB, SSM & more!
- Options: with adjustable hip belt to max. 115 circumference or neoprene belt up to max. 125cm circumference.
- CAUTION! We recommend the case for surface use only. Not for full submersion.
- Tested for IPX6 rating
- Proudly made in the UK
Featuring high-frequency welded seams for strength, the case has a wire-thru clamp at one end that allows a wire (up to 3.5mm thick wire) to pass through the case's seal, while the case remains watertight. The case is 13cm long by 7cm wide and features an IPX6 rating, allowing it to be temporarily immersed in water when sealed without leaking, but not continually submerged. Additionally, when sealed, the case will float if dropped into water, allowing you time to fish it out of the drink.
Like most other Aquapac cases, the Q148 will float. Waterproofness Warning!: This case features Aquapac’s ‘TC’ Aquaclip, which makes the case waterproof to IPX6 (a quick dunking should be fine, but not prolonged immersion).
Can people swim with it?
Testing shows that the TC clamp will let a tiny amount of water in after a period of total immersion. Best to wear it in the small of your back if you’re swimming on your front, and on your tummy if you’re swimming on your back, so that it spends as little time submerged as possible. We are talking here about splashing around in the pool or the sea, but we are NOT talking about endurance/long-distance swimming.
Important Notes:
Cases with this clamp are for surface use only, but will offer protection from temporary submersion. They are not recommended for prolonged immersion. When not using the case, leave the TC clamp open. If not, the wire or tube could eventually cause a permanent distortion of the foam, risking leakage. As long as you follow this instruction, the clamp will be watertight with or without a wire/tube. The maximum thickness of wire/tube around which the TC clamp will seal is 1/10th inch (3.5mm).
