Cinela COSI XS Modular Windshield for Schoeps CMC1 Microphone

The new COSI from Cinela features an in-built suspension and windshield combo. Designed for indoor/outdoor use, straight out the box!

This specific cage size is designed for the Schoeps CMC1U (with or without the CUT60)

This windshield features a lightweight suspension suitable for a range of microphones. The windshield has medium pile length fur and is not removable. It has no other fabric or layer underneath it which provides excellent weight reduction and sound purity.

Features

• 2 x mounting points on the suspension (allowing for easy access)
• The microphone is surrounded by air - all the way to the XLR/MZL plug
• The microphone is rigidly fixed to the cage - with external isolaters
• The COSI addresses both wind protection and suspension problems faced when using microphones with short rear connectors such as CMIT, 8050, 4017C, 4018C etc
• As with any microphone suspension or windshield, the COSI requires the use of a good rumble filter (for very low-end handling noise). Typically around the 50-70 Hz area with a +18dB roll-off (3rd order filter). Many microphones are very rich in the low-end (MKH8000 or DPA with C preamp). These mics need a high slope filter for the best results in reducing handling noise.
